Mattress Pad Queen Foam
Memory Foam Mattress Pad?
Are the memory foam mattress pads everything they are made out to be? If so is there a cheaper alternative to the Tempurpedic system that runs around 400 for a queen size bed? I recently received a firm mattress and would like to make it a little softer without affecting my pocket book to much. Any recommendations would be most helpful
I have a tempurpedic mattress, and I’ll tell you that if you dont like the feel of a firm bed, then don’t get memory foam. It doesn’t make the bed feel softer. It feels kind of “hard”, if you will and not really soft or puffy when you lay in it. It offers more firm support for folks who have problems sleeping, such as from chronic back pain.
Try getting a featherbed topper to put on your mattress. They are big and fluffy and old-fashioned, and work nicely. I have one that I have had for years, and I love it. If it gets flat all you have to do is fluff it up like a pillow, and it’s all good to go again. Keep in mind, if you buy a featherbed, that as with most things in life, you get what you pay for. If you buy an inexpensive one, it will contain cheaper quality duck and goose feathers that may sometimes poke through the fabric and become annoying. Investing a bit more money in a down featherbed will yield a higher-quality product that feels more luxurious.
