Drop Side Cribs??? Are the completely necessary??
I’ve been looking for crib for quite a while now. I don’t want to spend a fortune, but I want a good sturdy one. I found this crib that I absolutely love. It is cute, sturdy and unique all in one! They only thing I’m having trouble deciding on is that is does NOT have a drop side railing….My mom and friends say that I will really want one that had a drop side to it. This crib is only about 3 feet tall and has 4 adjustable mattress heights, so I won’t really have to be bending over too far anyway. I think Im going to get it anyway and take it back if it doesn’t work out(I’ll test it with my friends toddler!) But I would like some opinions from people who have tried either or!

I didn’t purchase a drop side crib myself. I was too worried that the side might not lock into place and the baby would roll out. I am only 5 feet tall and I have never had any issues with my crib. When the baby is small you have it set on the highest mattress position, which is easy to grab the baby from. By the time they are at the lowest setting, they can stand up on their own anyhow, and you just pick them right up out. No prob! The only thing that may bother you is changing the crib sheets. I usually just pull the mattress out to do that, but it’s not that big of a deal. I love my crib and never wished to have anything else.
By the way, the crib looks great and at a great price too!
