Air Mattress… What Causes This?
I sleep on an air mattress nightly as I have issues with normal mattresses. It is just a normal $40 gelert camping one.
I have noticed that after a few times of adding more air, it gets more inflated at one end than the other, giving it an uneven look.
Why does this happen? It starts off fine, then gradually ends up with higher bumps at the bottom end… I am assuming it isnt my weight as I am 126 ibs.
You may only weigh 126 lbs but it’s exactly weight that’s causing the problem. Our weight is not evenly distributed from head to foot and the lighter pressure at the foot end means that the mattress isn’t getting stretched as much at the foot end as the head end of the mattress.
